Finally, if you see a coloring book in one of these videos that you want to get your hands on, I have got you covered! I’ve done my best to hunt down every book you will come across, as well as the materials each colorist is using, so you can replicate their exact tips and techniques at home.
What do I do? I use a few sets of pencils/pens and one set of markers. I’ll address that after my reviews. So without further adieu and in alphabetical order (with some generic retail pricing too, which may vary depending on where you shop). This list is divided into four sections – Crayons, Markers, Pencils, and Pens.
Keeping your hand towards the tip of the pencil should feel more natural, and it will give you more control. Its a great grip for coloring little details, as you can carefully move the point of your pencil into the tiny nooks and crannies between lines. However, dont be afraid to try moving your hand towards the back of the pencil sometimes. When you grip the pencil further back, you can color in a wider arc and cover a larger area of the page. What you lose in control, you gain in mobility. This is a great grip for laying down a lot of color in a short amount of time.
